What is Urban Renewal?
Urban renewal is the process of renewing or strengthening buildings that have completed their economic life and where the life and property of the users are not safe. Urban renewal is the process of identifying problematic areas in the city and making them healthy to make them healthy and livable.
What is Urban Renewal Law?
The law known as the urban transformation law is numbered 6306 “Law on the transformation of areas under disaster risk”. With this law; Our aim is to take the necessary precautions before natural disasters that cause loss of life and property occur, to prevent damage before it occurs, and to ensure that citizens live in healthy and safe areas and buildings.
What is Risky Structure?
In a possible disaster (earthquake, flood, landslide, etc.), the living in the building, the structure that does not have life safety is called risky structures. It refers to the structure or structures within or outside the risky area that has completed their economic life or has been identified based on scientific and technical data that they are at risk of collapse or severe damage.
Urban Renewal Stages


An application is made to the land registry office of the municipality affiliated with the flat owners or building management. To obtain an Earthquake Risk Report, apply to the authorized institution of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, together with these projects and the title deed.
The authorized organization prepares an Earthquake Risk Report after the necessary examination and determinations in the building. The report is given by the licensed organization to the Urban Transformation Directorate of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization. The Ministry approves the Earthquake Risk Report and writes a note on the title deed.
